Infinitus Energy Co-Founder and CEO Kyle Mowitz was recently asked by Waste and Recycling News to give his take on the common perception of Materials Recycling Facilities or MRFs. The magazine was writing an article about the City of Houston’s recent award of a $1 million grant from Bloomberg Philanthropies. The city won this prize for their ‘One Bin’ idea which allows residents to throw all trash, including recyclables, into a single bin for collection and sorting. After winning this award, the city is now moving forward with plans to develop an MRF sorting facility which will allow them to implement the ‘One Bin’ concept.
